Drivetrain System Explained
Your input:
natural, effortless pedalling
Just pedal the way you like. The pedal-generators convert your musclepower into electricity. Each rider sets their own pace and chooses their own virtual gear. Our control system makes every rotation feel smooth and exactly how you want it.
Your boost:
smart assistance & control
The control unit ("the brain") and battery underneath is where the magic happens: You choose how much support you want and steer intuitively with the digital steering lever. The system blends your pedalling, the battery power and steering input into one smooth, seamless ride

Two quiet electric motors turn your input into smooth, silent propulsion. They also handle the steering: each motor adjusts its thrust based on your steering input. Precise, reactive and intuitive.

TOD - mode
"Turn on a Dime"
When the steering lever is pushed beyond the normal steering range, you feel a subtle haptic feedback.
This activates TOD mode:
One motor drives forward, the other in reverse allowing the OTTER to rotate smoothly on the spot.
